Короткий огляд (реферат): Розглянуто поняття «спеціальні знання» у кримінальному процесі, їх види та форми. Досліджено порядок залучення спеціаліста до участі у слідчих діях та призначення експертиз – як процесуальних форм використання спеціальних знань у кримінальних провадженнях. Recently, new types and forms of specialized knowledge have been actively used in the investigation of crimes, the procedure for involving specialists in investigative actions has changed, and the grounds for the appointment of expertise. These circumstances require further investigation to determine the relevance of the article. The purpose of the article is to analyze the concepts of «special knowledge», their types and forms, to investigate the procedure and grounds for engaging a specialist to participate in investigative actions, the appointment of expertise. Special knowledge in criminal proceedings is professional knowledge of science, technology, arts, crafts, religion, economics, medicine of persons involved in pre-trial investigation, judicial review, enforcement proceedings as specialists or experts, their skills, skills, formed during training and practice. Persons who possess specialized knowledge and are involved in criminal proceedings are referred to as «knowledgeable persons». The legislator refers to them a specialist, expert and translator. In addition to forensic knowledge, special knowledge is used in the investigation of crimes in such fields as: materials, substances and articles; explosion technology; economy; motor vehicles; commodity, automotive; information and computer technologies; psychology, forensic science, psychiatry, art, construction, land management, etc. The use of specialist knowledge in criminal proceedings can take many forms. Most scholars are inclined to classify such forms on the basis of procedural regulation. They refer to the procedural forms - participation of a specialist in conducting investigative actions, conducting judicial examinations, questioning of an expert. Specialists with knowledge and practical skills in the use of forensic technology, firearms management, physics, chemistry, pharmacology, economics, commodities, information and computer technology, forensic medicine, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry, psychiatry . Their participation depends on the type of crimes, the methods of their commission, the circumstances that need to be proved. Appointment of forensic expertise is considered to be the most effective and qualified procedural form of the use of specialized knowledge in the investigation of crimes. The most common expertise to be used in the investigation of crimes include: tracological, technical examination of documents and handwriting, ballistic, examination of materials, substances and products, economic, computer- technical, commercial, auto-technical, forensic, psychiatric, psychological and others. Conclusions. Criminal investigations most often use specialized forensic knowledge as well as knowledge in the fields of: materials, substances and articles; explosion technology; economy; motor vehicles; commodity, automotive; information and computer technologies; psychology, forensic science, psychiatry, art, construction, land management, etc. The most common and qualified procedural forms of the use of specialized knowledge in criminal proceedings are the involvement of specialists in investigative activities and the appointment of judicial expertise.
