Anti-soviet activities of Jewish religious communities in the USSR (1945s–1950s)

Abstract

Annotation. The publication analyzes anti-Soviet activities of Jewish religious communities in UkrSSR during the post-war period. The negative influence of the Soviet State Security on limitation the religious life of Jewish communities in Ukraine in the defined time was examined. It was proved that the anti-Soviet activity of Jewish religious communities was based on combining religious and national aspects, defending the original culture of the Jewish people, involving both internal and external influences in the struggle against the Soviet ideological system.Анотація. У статті аналізується антирадянська діяльність єврейських релігійних громад в УРСР у повоєнний період. Єврейські релігійні громади, як і інші релігійні структури в Україні окресленого періоду, одними із перших зазнали на собі негативного впливу радянської системи і сталінського диктаторського режиму, які переслідували цілі, пов’язані із ліквідацією не лише їх релігійної самобутності, але й «стирання» національної пам’яті.
