Abstract
Introduction. The relevance of the topic is determined by the need for enterprises to adapt to dynamic changes in tax legislation and financial-economic shocks. Although tax planning remains the subject of numerous studies, the lack of conceptual coherence regarding its nature, purpose, and functional place within the management structure of an enterprise complicates the development and implementation of effective, practice-oriented models. The purpose of the article is to explore the theoretical and applied foundations of tax planning as a key element of corporate financial management, taking into account current economic challenges, trends in digital transformation, and war-related risks. Methodology. The study applies the dialectical method of cognition, comparative analysis, deduction, logical interpretation, systems approach, as well as elements of graphical modeling. The methodological framework is based on the concepts of financial management, tax administration, corporate governance, and strategic planning tools in the field of taxation and budgeting. Results. The article defines the essence, functions, and structural components of tax planning and substantiates its role as a practical dominant of the enterprise’s financial management system. The international experience of tax planning organization (based on the cases of Germany and Belgium) is analyzed, with the identification of principles and methods for implementing the tax function. An algorithm for the implementation of tax planning as a cyclical process is proposed, and a set of practical recommendations for enterprises is formulated to enable systemic, legal, and economically efficient tax obligation planning under martial law conditions. It is demonstrated that proactive tax planning increases the financial resilience and profitability of enterprises in the long term. The research results may be applied in corporate financial management practice for the development of tax strategies, as well as in the design of internal policies for tax planning and fiscal risk management.
