Валютні війни у світовій економіці: історична ретроспектива та сучасні тенденції

Abstract

У статті висвітлюються питання, пов’язані з сутністю та механізмом розгортання валютних війн у світовій економіці, відтак метою даного дослідження є проведення комплексної оцінки причин та наслідків валютних війн у контексті еволюції світової валютної системи, а також обґрунтування впливу сучасних валютних протистоянь на параметри розвитку глобальної економіки та регіональні світогосподарські процеси. У процесі дослідження використано наступні наукові методи: діалектичний, наукової абстракції, індукції та дедукції, логічного й історичного аналізу. У результаті проведеного дослідження вдалось чітко сформулювати сутність поняття «валютні війни», під якими, на думку автора, слід розуміти вид економічного протистояння держав на валютному ринку з використанням інструментів валютної та монетарної політики, спрямований на зміну курсу національної валюти до валют торговельних партнерів з метою отримання ініціатором конфлікту конкурентних переваг на зовнішніх ринках товарів і капіталів. Здійснено узагальнення та класифікацію сучасних методів ведення валютних війн, наведено оцінку впливу валютних протистоянь на параметри світової економіки та темпи розвитку окремих країн. Науковою новизною статті є: обґрунтування механізму та каналів впливу девальвації національної валюти на макроекономічні параметри економіки на національному та міжнародному рівнях; виділення наслідків валютних протистоянь для економік провідних розвинених країн та країн, що розвиваються; наведення спільних та відмінних рис валютних війн на різних етапах розвитку світової валютної системи та міжнародних торговельних відносин у ХХ та ХХІ століттях; виокремлено роль валютних протистоянь у сучасних механізмах посткризового відновлення економік провідних країн світу. Практичне значення проведеного дослідження полягає у можливості вироблення на його основі рекомендацій стосовно модернізації інструментів валютної політики, спрямованих на стабілізацію валютного ринку, забезпечення стійкості національної валюти, стимулювання експортного потенціалу держави. The paper highlights the issues related to the nature and mechanism of deployment of currency wars in the world economy and the aim of this study is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the causes and consequences of currency wars in the context of the evolution of the global monetary system, and the reasons for the influence of modern currency struggles on the parameters of the global economy and regional international economic processes. The study used the following research methods: dialectical, scientific abstraction, induction and deduction, logical and historical analysis. The study was able to articulate the essence of the concept of "currency wars," by which, according to the author, it should be understood form of economic confrontation of the foreign exchange market using the tools of monetary and monetary policies aimed at changing the national currency against the currencies of trading partners to obtain initiator of the conflict competitive advantage in foreign markets of goods and capital. Carried out the synthesis and classification of modern methods of currency wars, give an estimate of the impact of currency struggles on the parameters of the global economy and the pace of development of individual countries. Scientific novelty of the paper is to: study the mechanism and channels of influence of devaluation on the macroeconomic parameters of the economy at the national and international levels; allocation effects of currency confrontations leading to economies of developed and developing countries; guidance of common and distinctive features of currency wars at different stages of development of the world monetary system and international trade relations in the XX and XXI centuries; highlighted the role of confrontations in modern exchange mechanisms of post-crisis economic recovery in the leading countries of the world. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of arriving at its recommendations on the basis of modernization instruments of monetary policy to stabilize the foreign exchange market, ensuring the stability of the national currency, the promotion of the export potential of the state.
