Abstract
The article examines the use of innovative sustainable agriculture technologies by agricultural formations in the context of the emergence of sustainable agriculture – “Agriculture 5.0”. The study analyses the share of mined and occupied agricultural lands and the cost of demining across the regions of Ukraine. In particular, the research identifies the proportion of agricultural land that is unsuitable or inaccessible for use, analyses the share of agricultural land located in temporarily occupied territories, and assesses the total cost of demining. A comparative analysis of traditional and sustainable farming practices in agricultural enterprises is conducted. It is established that a gradual transition of agricultural enterprises to the use of innovative sustainable agriculture technologies is essential and necessary. These technologies include a balanced integration of economic, environmental, and social objectives; minimal tillage; soil structure preservation; precision farming; no-till and strip-till systems; crop rotation; crop diversification; polyculture cultivation; optimisation of fertiliser application and management of nutrient residues; the use of organic fertilisers, compost, and cover crops; long-term production sustainability; preservation of soil fertility; and biodiversity conservation. A comparison of the use of sustainable agriculture technologies in Ukraine by agricultural producers is carried out based on a survey of 50 innovative agribusiness companies and other agricultural enterprises. The study proves that, in response to current challenges, agricultural enterprises must prepare for the development and establishment of the “Agriculture 5.0” model based on the integration of digital technologies and balanced ecological and economic approaches aimed at preserving agricultural ecosystems.
