Abstract
The article reflects the theoretical and methodological foundations of the
formation of the intellectual culture of a preschool educator in the context of the transformational
processes of modern education. It is emphasised that intellectual culture is an important factor in
the development of innovative thinking, professional self-development, and creative activity of a
teacher. Contradictions between the requirements for innovative activity of educators and
insufficient preparation for its implementation in modern conditions are revealed. It is noted that
the formation of intellectual culture requires the intellectualisation of professional training and the
development of analytical, prognostic and reflective thinking.
